What is animal rights?

 "What are animal rights?" When you are given this question, What do you think?. Maybe, living thing, development, own life. At least, there is no person who says "It is wonderful!", because, animal also living of course. But, all things are not bad. Operating on living animals for research has a good side. For example, medical development, and safely for human. So, this operating has both sides. By the way, what we should do? I think we should do think about animal rights, and recognizing for benefits. An animal life makes human life, and it give us a safe life. If you use chemical products, please remember animal rights and please recognize them.

Grammar and Basic Vocabulary

  Students should not study grammar and basic vocabulary in university, and they must study expressions of conversation.
  First of all, puzzling grammar and words are doesn’t use usually. Especially, high school　English is too difficult to use. Unprecedented means “never having happened before”. But I think other words will able to replace this word, for example, rarely, unusual, uncommon, seldom and so on. So easy words are good enough for conversation.
  Secondly, there are junior high school and high school English for examination or admission. Examiners make tests difficult intentionally to decide advantages and disadvantages. In university, don’t need them, we should become students that can develop their own English skills.
  Finally, I think we have already finished foundation of English, because we had studied English for six years. So we don’t need grammar and basic vocabulary now, and conversation ability is necessary for us after this. 
  For these reasons, I think students should not study grammar and basic vocabulary in university, and we should study expressions of conversation. If we do that we will able to speak English better.

Fishing in Atami

  Three weeks ago, I went Atami port with my three friends to go fishing. I and one of three friends were late to meet about two hours in the morning. Because of our lateness, two other  people went there earlier than us. I arrived at Atami station half an hour after, then we started walking to the fishing spot without a bus. It was wrong way, so we were very tired. After arriving, we apologized to friends for being late immediately. Then we enjoyed fishing, and caught a strange fish which I have never seen. My friend had tried to use horse mackerel for bait, and he threw it into the sea. Interestingly, at the moment a fish fell from sky, and bumped my chest! When evening came, The top of the fish net fell into the sea when I was catching a crab. I borrowed the net from friends, so I apologized for forgetting. After the fishing, we had lunch in a seaside restaurant. As you can see, I want to go fishing once again. 

How to Develop English Skills

  This is an effective way to develop your English skills that I learned from a professor. First of all, find out suitable teaching materials, for example daily conversation, fairy tales and so on. Now I am using “Snow White” as a learning material. Second, read aloud the sentences.  Most books have easy English, so you should not translate the English sentences. Third, recite the story until you can read without stopping. Fourth, do a shadowing using an audio system. This is the most important point in these steps. Fifth, recite once more. Performing this work, you will able to improve your memory. As you can see, I want you to try these steps every day.

Popular Place or Things of My Home Town

  Itoigawa is a beautiful and proud place, where is my home town. It has about three special products, for example, stained glass, stone named Hisui and rice named Koshihikari.

 Firstly, there is a big falls named Fudoudaki near my home, where is also campsite. I used to visit there as a school activities or private hang. The falls make people very relax, and it has two main reasons. Number one, it is located in the mountain, so climate is cool. Number two, in case of near the falls, people can be splashed water.

 Secondly, there is long beach that it is extended north and south. It has some names every place at a definite interval. For instance Oshiage, Oyashirazu, Hisui, Lavender, Nou and so on. They suit swimming in summer vacation, so I recommend there.

 Thirdly there is shopping district, apparently there is nothing specially, but various events hold every season there. For these reasons Itoigawa is a beautiful and proud place.

Art

  I like two pictures drawn by Pablo Picasso(1881-1973) and Salvador Dali(1904-1989). First, the picture named “Old Guitarist” is drawn by Picasso. It doesn’t feel vital, he looks almost dead. I don’t know whether he plays the guitar, but I understand that he is on the brink of death. By the way, I am interested in this coloring. Concretely, the old guitarist is a dark color, but the guitar is bright. I think it shows life and symbolized by the man and guitar. Second, the picture named is “Exploding Clock” is drawn by Dali. The picture looks like melting, and includes a philosophy, too. For example, view of time, sadness of a living thing, and so on. I think time add to value in usual life, so melting of time is collapse of added value. Then, time is necessary for living things, so it shows change, events, and the time of death. As you can see, in this way, I couldn't understand the artist's ideas, but I could understand it in my way.

My Life

  I was born to Itabashi Ward in 1993, and then I settled in Niigata prefecture after a few months. I grew up in Itoigawa city through elementary school student to high school student. In elementary school, although I always stay up late recently, I went to bed at 9:00 p.m. Look back, it is a surprising thing, and I usually do housework since I entered university, but I can’t anything that then, of course. My school was located in a rural area, so surprisingly my school has just 13 people. Although it may feel like a strange thing, I grew up strongly more than a school has a large number of students. There are three main reasons. First of all, I had many close friends. There were few people in the school, so I was able to play with all people. At the same time, everyone wasn’t related because of the difference in age. Secondly, in the situation of swimming lesson I developed fast. Before I took part in this lesson, I couldn’t swim well, but I won the championship of swimming meet after the lesson, because it is increase the number of swimming time per person. Thirdly, I experienced being president of the student council. I didn’t become it probably that in case of other situation. For these reasons, I experienced a lot when I was an elementary school student. As you can see, it is my treasure that I met everything, and those experiences are very useful in my usual life. Then without these experiences, it is no exaggeration to say that I wouldn’t be what I am now.

Favorite Fashion

  I like simple fashion, so I chose it at this homework. This 100% cotton stylish shirt has plain and navy blue. The pants have a check in the reverse side, and my favorite pants style is slender. These clothes are suitable for me, because it is easy to move. It is desirable that it wear something T-shirt. I like V-neck shirt as an inner. In spring, I want to wear a leather boots, like this picture. In summer, I want to wear deck shoes. To tell the truth, I want to wear sandals usually, but it is not fashionable. I don't like wear accessories, because it is troublesome. For these reasons, I like simple fashion moderately.

Typical Weekday

During the week, my days are very interesting. I wake up at 7:45 a.m. nearly every morning, but I sometimes get up late. I always eat a banana or cornflakes with milk as breakfast before I get dressed. I always have a first lesson every day, so I leave home at 8:40 to go to school. I go back to home after lessons finish, then I usually do homework or spend time on my hobbies until club starts. I leave home to attend badminton club at 4:20 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and I leave home to attend international cooperation club at 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. After that, I usually cook a meal for supper but I am tired. I always do homework before sleep, but I sometimes sleep without finishing, so I do it the next morning. I usually sleep at 12:00. I like my recent full life, so I want to continue it happily.

Last Sunday

I went to Tokoha university to do a practice match on last Sunday. After that I went to home, and started take in the washing. At the time, big moth came into my room from veranda, because light of room is lighter than outside one at night. When I drove a moth, it stepped onto my right hand! I felt like so horrible then. For these happenings, I thought I want him to make an appointment in advance. I hope it strongly!           

My Free Time

  When I have free time, I enjoy doing several hobbies. For example, I like listening to Koten Rakugo. There are many interesting stories, so I recommend this for everyone. But I only listen when I am really free. I like listening to a midnight radio. I mainly listen to TBS radio on Tuesday. I also like to see movies and read magazines. Another thing I love is to listen to music. My favorite music style is Japanese's R&B and western rock. Both of them make me excited. Although I don't to bring it to outdoors, it is necessary for me in my life, when I listen to it at home. I often enjoy browsing the Internet on holidays, and I study English in Internet recently. I recommend a site that called TED. My favorite hobby is to play badminton. I started it in April of this year. As a club activity, I play it after school on every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Since it has just started, I'd like to become a good player. As you can see, these hobbies build up my quality of life.

My Family

  I have a friendly family, and we all get along well. There are 4 people in my family. My family members are grandmother, mother, father and me, and I have a dog as a pet. My grandmoter's name is Kiyoe Yamagishi. She is 72 years old, and she is a hard worker, for example she cultivates soil, carries out housekeeping, and so on. My dog's name is Chapi, and People always say funny name! because it sounds imitation. My parents’ names are Yoshitaka and Rie Yamagishi. They are 45 and 41 years old, and they live in Itoigawa in Niigata prefecture. My father works in factory, and my mother does a part-time job. I don't have a sibling, but I want at least one.  I have one cousin. Her name is Mai Aoki. My family is a farm family involved in another business, so I went to hometown in Golden Week, I helped out my family work. By the way, I helped rice planting. It was very hard work, and spent a long time. On other days, I passed my time with my family pleasantly. For example, we cooked lunch together, went to big waterfalls, and went shopping. For these reasons, I love my family.

My Classmate

   My classmate’s name is Ryo Matsuo. I call him “Ryo”. Ryo is single, and he is from Shiga prefecture, it is located in the middle of Japan. Ryo speaks Japanese with a Kansai accent, and he studies English. At the same time, he is a Nihon University student. Ryo was interested in international relations, so he entered this university. Ryo likes music, so he will join the music club. Ryo likes to read a magazine written by Fujiko F Fujio, because his stories are interesting. He also likes to listen to Fujiko F Fujio's animation songs for two reasons. One, although an anime song, the level of music is high. Another, it matches animation's view of the world.  

Self-introduction

  My name is Daiki Yamagishi. People usually call me Daiki. But close person called me gishi in the high school. This is my nickname. I'm from Niigata prefecture where locate opposite to Shizuoka. There are 4 people in my family. My family member is grandmother, mother, father and me. And I have a dog in my hometown.  I speak Japanese and study English and Chinese in university, so I'm university student. I study English hard specially, Because, I want to study abroad. I belong to 2 clubs. One is international cooperation club, and another is badminton club. I can’t get up early in the morning, so I always sleepy in first school hour, so I want someone to teach how to get up early. I like to watch a movie and read a magazine. My favorite movie is “Yes Man” because, this movie’s hero always have a positive thinking. And, my favorite magazine is JOJO’s bizarre adventure, because it excited me.
